When it comes to the environment, the fashion industry has been in intense scrutiny over its supply chain management that burns through fossil fuels, as well as its mass production of low quality fabrics that are designed to be used for short amounts of time. Because of this, thousands of companies have emerged in the retail space to provide sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives.

One of Going Green’s friends and partners, Green Watches, has launched an initiative to provide the world with eco-friendly watches and bracelets. Each bracelet is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, and its new watch, coming in the summer of 2020, is made of recycled materials.
Here’s what we love the most: Not only is Green Watches pulling plastic out of the ocean and recycling it into something that is fun and fashionable, it is also donating 10% of their proceeds to Oceana.Org. They are double dipping into the ability to remove single use plastics from the earth, and giving back by supporting one of hte leading non-profits.

If you are interested in learning more about Green Watches, take a look here. Right now they are giving away free bracelets to anyone who wants one.
