Sustainable Health Leads to Professional Success

Sustainability doesn’t just relate to renewable energy and cleantechnology. Sustainability is defined as “the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level,” because of this, we wanted to expand our horizons and learn more about what companies are doing in a variety of fields to help promote a more sustainable lifestyle. We sat down with Ashley Hunt, Co-founder, CEO of Pancea. Pancea Pancea is a digital AI health specialist for back, neck, and knee pain treatment, and overall wellbeing. We were excited to chat with Ashley to discuss how Pancea is providing educational resources to help reduce stress and educate people so that they can become the expert of your own body.

Ashley, thanks for being here. Tell us a little bit about you and your background:

My educational background is in Neuromuscular Kinesiology and I am a Certified Corrective Exercise and Orthopedic Specialist. I have studied chronic pain and MSK pain for 10 years. My mom suffered from lower back back growing up and ended up getting an emergency lumbar fusion and screws put into her spine and passed away from an accidental opioid overdose when I was 17.

This stimulated my interest and passion in holistic chronic pain management and treatment. I am also an advocate for anti-sexual violence and trauma recovery as I have been a victim of this issue and understand first hand how trauma impacts your nervous system and health. This is why our platform Pancea uses a multifaceted, biopsychosocial approach in creating our user’s programs; to make sure we are looking for the root cause of each person’s symptoms and providing the best resources to heal.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am left handed.

What do you envision the sustainable health industry looking like 10 years from now?

I truly believe AI and technology will be a major decision maker in medicine and healthcare. I believe it will allow specialists and doctors to have more exact and precise treatment, and will allow patient’s to become more proactive in their health and wellbeing.

What can the average person do to make a difference?

For sustainability, I think we can all start with even the little things like recycling more, walking or riding our bikes instead of driving, less plastic.

We learned some fun facts about Pancea, and how sustainable health systems lead to a better work environment.

Pancea helped their clients save 17% on healthcare for MSK disorders, and a recent Pancea case study demonstrated a 3.3x ROI in just 6 weeks by reducing PT and doctors appointments. Pancea also reduces amount of missed days due to MSK pain for employees. Pancea active users experience a 50% reduction in symptoms in as little as 2 weeks, 95% within 6 weeks.

Ashley, thank you for taking the time to share your experience working starting Pancea and working in Sustainable Health.
